Dr. Jesús Ramón Rodríguez Rodríguez is a lawyer and a specialist in Criminal Law, Information Technology Law and Public Management, with a solid academic and professional record in the legal-technological field. He is the founder and director of the Instituto de Estudios Jurídicos, Telemáticos y de Seguridad Corporativa (Institute of Legal, Telematics and Corporate Security Studies), as well as of the Escritorio Jurídico (law office) and of the JURISTELSEG legal-technology applications service, projects that since 2006 have driven the integration of law, technology and corporate security. He holds a Master's degree in Legal Sciences with a concentration in Criminal Law, and has completed several diploma courses in key areas such as National Security and Defense, Forensic Science, and Foresight and Strategy. He holds a doctorate in Constitutional Law and also a PhD in International Relations. In the course of his institutional career, he served as a Prosecutor of the Venezuelan Public Prosecutor's Office with special jurisdiction over computer and telecommunications crime, contributing from that position to consolidating the legal fight against technology-related crime. He currently works as a researcher and as director of training programs in information technologies and artificial intelligence applied to law, leading training and analysis on issues of great importance to contemporary legal developments. He is also President of the Telecommunications, Science and Technology Law Committee of the Inter-American Bar Association (FIA/IABA), a position from which he promotes a strategic, hemisphere-wide view of the regulatory challenges of the digital age.
