Deputy Director General of the Servicio Nacional de Migración de Panamá (Panama National Migration Service)

A lawyer with more than 20 years of experience in legal practice, specializing in comprehensive legal counsel in both the public and private sectors. She currently serves as Deputy Director General of the Servicio Nacional de Migración de Panamá (Panama National Migration Service), a post she has held since 2019, leading strategic migration work within the Ministerio de Seguridad Pública (Ministry of Public Security). Over the course of her career she has built a substantial legal practice. She began as a legal assistant at firms such as De Vicente & González and Durling & Durling, later establishing herself as an attorney at Alfaro, Ferrer & Ramírez and subsequently at Gómez Giraldo & Asociados, where she deepened her experience in corporate law and specialized legal counsel. In 2012 she co-founded Legal Engine Solutions, a platform through which she has provided innovative legal services, remaining active as a legal professional for more than a decade. Between 2013 and 2019 she was also a founding partner at a legal services firm, contributing a strategic, results-oriented outlook. Her background combines technical knowledge with experience in public management, conflict resolution and institutional leadership. She focuses in particular on the design and implementation of public policy on migration, always from a legal, humane and efficient perspective.
